About The Course


The certificate in Christian Discipleship is a basic level course that covers a gospel (John's gospel), the doctrine of salvation (Romans 1-8), Christian Living (Ephesians), Kingdom Ethics (Sermon On The Mount) and a subject in Christian Sexuality.

This certificate is meant to be studied in a local church setting under the supervision of your pastor or another mature Christian leader. Help with AIBI courses can be found in the AIBI College Handbook

You must satisfactorily complete the assessment for all 6 subjects to receive the certificate. Assessment for each subject is generally a 1500 word (3 page) essay which will be marked by your pastor or group leader. See the pages relevant to the individual subjects (right) for details.

Certificate 1: Christian Discipleship

The Certificate of Christian Discipleship consists of the following six subjects:

John 1-11 The Savior Is Revealed

The first eleven chapters of John's gospel reveal Jesus as Lord and Savior and His many miracles called signs that point to the nature of salvation.


John 12-21 St. John's Passion
The last week of the life of Christ, the Upper Room discourse, the betrayal, trial, cross and resurrection.


Sermon On The Mount
A verse by verse exposition of Jesus' best known body of teaching.


Romans 1-8
Romans 1-8 is Paul's most detailed account of the nature and purpose of our salvation in Christ Jesus.


Ephesians
Ephesians 1-3 deals with being "in Christ", while Ephesians 4-6 looks at the practical Christian life.


Christian Sexuality

The Scripture's teaching on a wide range of sexual issues.
